The Iron fey series by Julie Kagawa

Julie Kagawa is the next big thing to keep an eye out for. She is a different kind of writer. Her imagination in my opinion is years into the future! She kept me panting in a super good way

The Iron King #1

Where do I start?  This is beyond a shadow of a doubt one of the best faerie books I've read in a long time. (And that’s an ACE). Engaging Heroine? Check. Unique plot? Yep! Riveting? Totally. Funny? LOL Yes!  Blistering romance? WOW!
I really loved this book.  Kagawa created a captivating merge of classical fairy tale and modern-day escapade. First, the idea of the Iron Fae was prudent and skillful.  I was hooked right from the beginning. And all I can say is I have read this book six times! I don’t want to give anything away but this book is a MUST READ!
(6 stars)! Need I say more?

The Iron Daughter # 2
The Iron daughter follows on not long after the events that took place in the iron king. Queen Mab is holding Megan in the winter court due to the bargain Megan (heroine)  made with Ash to save her brother.  Basically, Julie Kagawa has done it again and this book is full of action, suspense and romance!
I could not put this book down. A page-turner and Megan has become a strong, sharp and fiercely loyal heroine.
I am in love with this series and Julie Kagawa isn’t getting the credit she deserves
(6 stars). Oh! I have read the book six times also!

The Iron Knight # 4

Nightshade by Andrea Cremer

I stayed up late to finish this book, I mean until 4am – wee hours of the morning. And you know what I thought?
 LOVED IT.
Heart pounding, mouth hanging, on the edge on my sit, trying to picture the whole situation… in my mind and wondering how the book is going to end!
And off course the cliffhanger is enthralling! A.M.A.Z.I.N.G!!!

THE HEROINE. Calla is a sexy alpha female… She is not one of those annoying weakling female who gets a guy to fight her battles.  (Absolutely Not)! She is a lover and a fight and I NEVER thought those qualities wound mix … so potently.

*THE PLOT. There   are CONSPIRACY, LIES and DECEIT in the plot.
*ACTION AND SUSPENSE.  YES!!! Definitely
*ROMANCE… CHECK, A love triangle yes, but the choice was easy! She (Calla) did    NOT draw out the whole who the choose thing.
 (4 stars) A must read!
Nightshade is unique and different. I have read lodes of books BUT this book was beyond my imagination. All I have to say is that it will be a long wait for 2011 (this year, thank the gods) when Wolfsbane; is set to be released. I can't wait to read it myself, rest assured.

The Hunger Games Series

The Hunger game series by Suzanne Collins are fascinating yet compelling books. I call it “Gladiator meets Lost”. These books keep you guessing and wondering what’s next! Lying in bed awake at night thinking about these books, isn’t too far from the mix! (these books are that great)!
It introduces sixteen-year-old Katniss Everdeen, who lives in a post-apocalyptic world in the country of Panem.  Panem is where a controlling government working in a central city called the Capitol holds supremacy.
The story takes place in a future time period after the ruin of North America, in a nation known as Panem. Panem consists of an affluent Capitol and 12 surrounding, shoddier districts.
As a reminder and punishment for a prior rebellion against the Capitol, every year one boy and one girl between the ages of 12 and 18 from each district are chosen randomly and ordered to partake in the Hunger Games, which is a televised event where the "tributes", must fight to the death in a dodgy outside showground until only one remains.
16-year-old Katniss Everdeen, a girl from District 12 who volunteers for the 74th Games in place of her younger sister, Primrose.  (Prim)
Peeta Mellark, a boy whom Katniss knew- who once saved Katniss's life is also participating from District 12
A Must Read! ( 5 stars)
